Jorge Pesok is the Chief Legal Officer for The HBAR Foundation. Jorge began his legal career in the United States Army National Guard where he served for eight years. He transitioned to private practice when he joined Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP. In early 2017 he was introduced to the blockchain industry and was completely captivated and has been practicing in the space since. While in private practice, Jorge advised blockchain and distributed ledger technology companies on the applicability of U.S. securities, commodities, and financial laws and regulations. He focused his practice on government investigations, white-collar litigation, and compliance matters. In that role, he represented technology companies, digital asset exchanges, financial institutions, and distributed asset issuers in administrative, enforcement, and litigation.
